A Cruise Wouldn’t Be Complete Without Seasickness

March 8, 2015

Hey friends,

All I can say, is that those last few days of our Carnival Cruise, I was so thankful I don’t get seasick easily. It wasn’t the smoothest ride ever, that’s for sure. Not as bad as the boat ride to Tobago by any means, but not a cakewalk either. You’ll see…

It doesn’t look like it but the boats were rocking quite a bit.

Ziplining with Iguanas and Snorkeling with Tiny Jellyfish

March 4, 2015

Hi everyone!

Are you ready to get this cruise vacation started for real? If you read my last post, I didn’t even make it off the boat, yet! Haha – but never fear, not only did we make it to dry land, we soared over it, laid on it andsnorkeled around it. Don’t miss my latest excursions on our Caribbean Carnival cruise.

You’ll Never Believe What Happened to Me Off the Coast of Cuba

February 28, 2015

Hi everyone!

My goodness, I had such a good time on that cruise, and so much to tell you – so, so much. But I’ll get to it all in good time. Let’s get started with the tale of my first ever Carnival Cruise (a first I can cross off my bucket list) to the Western Caribbean. Seven days of fun, sun and visits to Costa Maya, Isla Roatan, Belize and Cozumel on the beautiful Carnival Glory over Valentine’s Day and Sean’s and my third anniversary of our first date.

Are you excited yet? Look at the size of the cruise ship!

Montezuma Got His Revenge in Cancun

You’d think after the boat ride, the pool party and the majority of the trip done, we would have smooth sailing the rest of the trip. And you’d be wrong. Find out what really happened here.

Yes, that was a great day on the yacht.

Cancun’s Version of Wal-Mart is the Best Ever

Our Cancun trip was starting off so well: pool time, boat trips, great company and wonderful (but super hot) weather. How could it get better? How about yachts, personal barbecues and a gecko named Gary? Yeah, it’s covered.

I've got your boat right here.

Little Known Fact: Cancun is Freaking Hot in August!

Ok, ok, I know this is probably going to sound like a “well duh” moment, but I’ll go ahead and put it out there. When we went down to Cancun, Mexico just a short time ago for what’s become an annual beach trip, it was unbelievably hot! I mean sweating-just-sitting-outside-not-moving-hot. Shocker, right?

Maybe not, but even so, don’t miss my Cancun blogs: there are boats, beaches, sunburns galore and (as always) enough tequila to fuel a college spring break.

Hello, fruity drinks.

Stumblin in Trinidad and the Pain of US Passport Control

If you thought Trinidad sounded like a Caribbean paradise, just wait til you see Tobago! With hotels named Coco Reef and Crown Point and glass bottom boats with names like Cool Runnings, you know you’re in the right place for a great time. Continue reading

Trinidad: The Return to Roti, Rum and Mosquitoes

Have you ever been bitten by a mosquito on the bottom of your foot? I have. Welcome back to Trinidad! Check out the first installment in my three-part blog series on going back to Trinidad, and seeing Tobago for the first time. The flight may not have been as long as the one to Asia, but the trip was certainly just as memorable!
